Editorial Policy

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Trust Post publishes explanatory journalism about consumer technology, business and the practical questions readers search for answers to. This policy sets out the standards we apply to that work: how articles are researched and sourced, how they are checked before publication, how we handle errors, and how our editorial operation is separated from our advertising.

Editorial Independence

Trust Post is funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisers receive no advance sight of our articles and have no influence over what we cover, how we cover it, or whether an article remains published. Google selects which advertisements appear on any given page automatically, and we neither choose nor endorse them.

We do not accept payment in exchange for editorial coverage, for a favourable review, or for the inclusion of a brand in a list or comparison. We do not sell links within articles, and we do not publish paid guest contributions presented to readers as independent editorial content. Where any commercial relationship exists, it is disclosed prominently within the article itself.

How We Source Our Reporting

Our reporting is desk research, and we are explicit about where information comes from.

  • We work from primary sources wherever one exists, including official documentation, company announcements, regulatory filings, peer-reviewed research and government data
  • Technical claims about products are verified against the manufacturer’s current documentation rather than secondary coverage
  • Statistics are traced to the organisation that produced them, and we link to that organisation rather than to an article citing it
  • Where a claim is contested or the evidence is limited, we say so in the article rather than presenting one position as settled
  • We link to our sources so that readers can verify our work independently

We do not conduct original interviews. Where an article contains a quotation, it is drawn from a public statement, a published interview or a document, and the source is identified.

Verification Before Publication

Every article is checked against the following standards before it is published.

  • Each factual claim is traceable to an identifiable source
  • Every external link resolves and points to the source actually being cited
  • Figures are internally consistent throughout the article, including in any tables
  • Dates, version numbers and specifications reflect the current state of the subject at the time of writing
  • The headline accurately represents the article and does not promise more than the piece delivers
  • No material is reproduced from another publication without permission and attribution

Corrections and Updates

We correct errors openly. Removing a mistake without acknowledgement is a more serious failure than the original error, and we do not do it.

  • Corrections. A factual error is corrected as soon as it is confirmed, and the article carries a dated note stating what was incorrect and what it now says.
  • Updates. Where circumstances have changed since publication rather than been reported incorrectly, the article carries a dated update note.
  • Minor amendments. Typographical corrections and broken link repairs are made without a note.
  • Removal. Reserved for material that is legally problematic or seriously misleading and cannot be remedied by correction.

To report an error, email contact@trustpost.org with the article URL and the specific claim in question. Providing a source allows us to resolve the matter more quickly. We aim to respond within three working days and will inform you of the outcome whether or not we agree with the report.

Advertising and Editorial Separation

Advertising is kept structurally separate from editorial content. Advertisements are served programmatically and are not selected in relation to the article they appear beside. Any sponsored or commercially arranged content, should we publish it in future, will be clearly labelled as such and will not be presented as independent editorial work.

The Site does not currently use affiliate links. If affiliate links are introduced, articles containing them will carry a prominent disclosure, and the presence of a commission will never determine a ranking or recommendation.

Content We Do Not Publish

The following categories are excluded from the Site regardless of commercial opportunity.

  • Gambling, betting, lottery and satta matka content in any form
  • Articles whose principal purpose is to host a paid link rather than to inform a reader
  • Link scheme material, private blog network placements and content sold as a search engine optimisation product
  • Medical, legal or financial claims presented as personalised professional advice
  • Bulk-produced content on subjects to which we can add nothing of value
  • Material reproduced from another publication without permission and attribution

Where content of this kind has previously appeared on the Site, it has been removed.

Bylines and Editorial Responsibility

Articles carry the Trust Post Desk byline, which identifies the Site’s editorial desk rather than an individual reporter. We use a desk byline because our articles are produced through the research and review process described in this policy, and attributing that work to an invented individual would misrepresent how it is made.

Editorial responsibility for all material published on the Site rests with the editor, who can be contacted at contact@trustpost.org. Where a named contributor with relevant expertise writes or reviews an article, that person is credited on the article itself.

Contact the Editorial Desk

Corrections, story suggestions, requests for a right of reply and questions about how an article was reported should be sent to contact@trustpost.org.
